
Daniel Rhyder is a Santa Monica, CA native, and has studied the Stanislavsky Method of acting for over ten years. He has been in several independent films, most notably “Outcasts” , “Hatchetman” and the very successful “3 -Day Weekend,” a feature film that was released theatrically in the fall of 2008. He was recently the cover model for the magazine SGL Weekly for the second time in August. Daniel started his career as a recurring character on the popular MTV soap opera “Undressed” which received a GLAAD Media Award. Aside from starring in his latest film “Layover” which was released in July 2010, Daniel can be seen as one of the lead cast members in the popular web series “ The Cavanaughs” . Daniel’s next film, a horror movie titled “Portraits of Death”, will be released in the Fall of 2011. He plays Nathan, a pathological photographer who finds beauty in his subjects at the moment of death. Daniel has written five screenplays, three pilots and a series of comedic coffee table books titled "You Know When…" which can be purchased at stores like Fred Segal and The Bungalow as well as Amazon.com. He is currently in production on his first feature film writing debut titled “Violence of the Mind” which will be released in 2012. Recent press also includes a feature story in "Hollywood Covered" where Rhyder was listed as "one to watch" and red carpet coverage at the 2010 LA Fashion Week Shows & "1408” Movie Premier as well as many other red carpet events.
